# Wild Rift Pocket — Tank Role Guide

## Role Definition

Front-line that soaks damage to open space for the team. Two archetypes: Frontline (persistent wall) and Engage (initiates team fights). Value comes from unignorable presence rather than raw damage.

## Stat Priority

- **Health** — multiplies with every tank stat
- **Armor** — vs AD and auto attackers
- **Magic Resist** — vs AP mages
- **Tenacity** — reduces CC duration, survival in team fights
- **Ability Haste** — CC / engage ability uptime

## Sample Archetypes (2)

- **Frontline** (tank_frontline): Persistent frontline tank; hold the line so backline carries can position freely. Fits Maokai, Leona, Sion — classic CC-engage tanks.

- **Engage** (tank_engage): Wombo-combo initiator; dive backline with CC to create a numbers advantage. Fits Nautilus, Malphite, Alistar — dash + CC tanks.
